RI citizens could have access to these Health Stations 7 days a week and at no cost to them
The Director of the RI Department of Health, Dr. Michael Fine, with the help of Rickman Group, hosted a free and open forum regarding RI Public Health at Roots in Providence last Wednesday. Dr. Fine discussed his strategy to build Neighborhood Health Stations for every town/city with a population of 10,000 or more, funded by the Rhode Island Primary Care Trust. RI citizens could have access to these Health Stations 7 days a week and at no cost to them. This innovative primary healthcare system would drastically reduce the cost of healthcare across the board for ALL Rhode Islanders. It was a fascinating discussion, with many great questions and insights.
