ICS does not own the building we occupy or the playground, so we had to ask the owners, Steve and Greg Smith, permission to work on the property by writing them a letter. Students wrote the letter as a group writing exercise. In addition to seeking permission the letter also asked the owners if we could borrow some tools, since they own a construction company too. They responded with a resounding YES and agreed to let us use their steel brooms and rakes. As you know, paint, rollers, paintbrushes, and other painting materials are not cheap, so we had to write a letter to the Student Council asking for their help with the money. They agreed to give us money to support our endeavor. As a result, we were able to complete the service we set out to do. Please watch the video and enjoy our hard work.
