In addition to his deep financial background, Mike also has a proven track-record of collaboration, which makes him a great asset and fit to our management team.
Hudson joins BCBSRI from Health Plan Holdings in Tampa, Florida, where as CFO he was responsible for the companys strategic financial planning, customer profitability, investor relations and all aspects of financial management. Hudson also previously served as CFO for Aetna Inc.s small and middle markets, and held several finance and operations leadership positions for Cigna Healthcare, Inc. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Prudential Insurance Company of America, Towers Perrin Reinsurance Company, Ernst & Young LLP and Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company.
Hudson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration at Yale University. He also is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Hudson lives with his wife and two sons in Warren, Rhode Island.
